Previous Code Year Detail Pages

Similar to search results pages, previous ICD-10-CM code year detail pages will display a warning below the menu bar that "The page reflects the FY20xx year's ICD-10-CM code set." There is a Disclaimer box on the right side of the detail page as well.

The content on these pages include:

  • Coding Conventions – Clarifying Terms, Includes, Excludes (1 & 2), Code First, Use Additional Code and Code Also instructions – and excerpted chapter-specific Guidelines applicable to that code as well as any parent or grandparent codes at the subcategory or category level.
  • Coding Tips as well as documentation, billing and hospice tips applicable to that code as well as any parent or grandparent codes at the subcategory or category level.
  • Plain-English Descriptions to help you identify diseases and conditions more readily.
  • Chapter/Subchapter-level instruction that might consist of coding conventions, guidelines or tips.

However, indexed scenarios, illustrations and, for those of you with Professional or Expert access, indexed articles from Diagnosis Coding Pro are only available on the current code year detail pages.

What else is different? User & Group Notes, Bookmarks and the My Recent Codes (or My Codes/OASIS Items for Expert users) functionality have been disabled on the Previous Year code detail pages as well. Your notes, bookmarks and recent codes "roll forward" with the new code set data, so you'll find them on the current code year detail pages.

Note: When you click a code in the Notes or Bookmarks section of your Toolbox, you will be taken to the current code year detail page.
