April 1 is day one of the new OASIS-E2 data set, which includes:
- Two new items – A0810 (Sex), which replaces M0069 (Gender); and A1255 (Transportation), which replaces A1250 (Transportation);
- One other removed item – O0350 (COVID-19 Vaccination Status); and
- Revisions to 34 items
Important Note: Call outs on the item detail pages denote guidance that is "New for OASIS-E2" or "Revised for OASIS-E2". These call outs only indicate that the guidance is new/revised for the OASIS-E2 Guidance Manual. As stated by CMS in Appendix D, Description of Changes from OASIS-E1 to OASIS-E2, much of this guidance integrates instruction already shared in past OASIS Q&As.
